Managing a 4 bed established home with a stable staff team already in place this is a great opportunity for an experienced manager or strong deputy manager to step into.
Key responsibilities include:
· To be responsible for the day-to-day management of the home, its activities, care of equipment and the building, and general management of resources.
· To help maintain a supportive and positive environment for each young person.
· To lead, manage and support an established staff team.
· Oversee delivery of care plans, risk assessments and behavioural management plans.
· To comply with relevant health and safety legislation, policy and procedures and promote safeguarding and welfare of residents.
· Ensure meets the standards and expectations of the home’s Statement of Purpose.
Skills and Experience
· Extensive experience of working with children in care in a Registered Manager role or Deputy Manager role in a residential setting.
· Up to date knowledge of childcare legislation, Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations.
· Experience of managing and supporting a staff team.
· Excellent communication skills and a “can do” attitude.
· ESSENTIAL qualification – NVQ/QCF Level 3 Children and young people’s workforce
· PREFERRED qualification – Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (or equivalent) or are willing to work towards it.
