BREXIT: It’s ‘Business as usual’ for EU jobseekers

A Brexit message from our Founding Director

We have been immensely encouraged by an official announcement on the terms of Brexit.

Although the United Kingdom will leave the European Union in March next year, it has been agreed that there will be a transition period lasting a further 21 months, until December 2020.

And very importantly for employers, especially in the UK healthcare sector which relies so heavily on the contribution of EU workers, it has been confirmed that EU citizens moving to the UK before December 2020 will have “the same rights and guarantees” as those who arrive before the Brexit date in March 2019.

We have recruited thousands of dedicated workers from Poland and Romania during the last 14 years – and demand for their services is as high as ever, if not higher.

Our clients tell us that they are as keen as ever to recruit care assistants and support workers from the EU – and we hope that people wanting to come here to work will feel really encouraged to do so.

There is still a huge demand for people from the EU to come and work in the UK. And now they can come and work here secure in the knowledge that nothing will change until at least December 2020.
